Ginger Pieces Crystalized Organic
This is a great, versatile product. The Latin term zingiber comes from the Sanskrit word, singabera, meaning "antlers", which the fresh rhizomes of this tropical plant can resemble. The ginger plant is a native of South Asia, and has been cultivated there for thousands of years. It didn't make its way to Western Europe until the Middle Ages.
Quick Fun Fact: Our modern Ginger Ale had its origins in the 1800s, when English publicans started adding powdered ginger to beer and other beverages.
You can try this in a Tiki cocktail, as a simple syrup component, or as a garnish. Also used as a brewing ingredient. Home brewers take note! About 140 cubes per 16 oz
