Juniper Berries Organic
Juniperus communis, a relative of the pine, is a native of the cool Northern hemisphere. They are popular in Scandinavian countries, where the berries are used as a flavoring for wild game dishes. These juniper berries can take up to 3 years to mature on the tree, turning from a green color to a dark purple. As we all know, they are a prime flavoring ingredient for gin.
Fun Fact: the term gin itself originates from "genever," the Dutch word for "juniper."
So they're great for an infusion. They have also become popular now as a Craft Brew flavoring. Organically produced in Bosnia.
